[Accidental video]

[Once he's had time to calm down (mostly) and wash off all the dirt from Purgatory, Dean focuses his attention on making the World Mobile do what he wants. Unfortunately, what he wants is to contact his brother, so he won't be finding much success.

But he does end up turning on the video function without realizing it as he fumbles around with the device.]

--piece of crap, mobile communication my ass! Call Sam.

[He pauses a moment, and you can hear a few beeping noises, like he's trying to dial a number, but it's no-go.]

Son of a bitch!

[Frustrated, he chucks the WM onto his bed, which also cuts off the video feed.]

[Okay, okay, even with the clarification it's pretty clear to Allen that he still has no idea what he's being asked.] I'm sorry, from the sounds of things I'm probably not the best person to ask if there is employee parking for an automobile. But perhaps someone else will have a better idea.

[And while he feels a bit foolish for asking with such a clear gap of knowledge between them, he is curious about something. There's the sound of some slight shuffling on his end of the feed before he clears his throat and asks all the same.]

This may sound silly since I can't really picture it myself, but is that something that they brought here with you? That technology--the automobile, I mean.

Not sure. That's why I wanna check. If they brought my baby here, then at least I'll know I can take care of her.

[If Allen wasn't already confused, now Dean's talking about the car like it's a person. Good luck!]

[Yes, Allen is thoroughly confused now, and since he has his device on audio Dean obviously can't see the utterly perplexed look on the boy's face.]

... 'Her'? Wait, who are we talking about now?

[This is a time era thing, not a stupid English-kid thing, Dean. Honest! At some point maybe the small detail of historical difference will come up and everything will make sense...]

[That does help. In part, at least. Some of what Dean says is just jibberish to him, but overall it suggests a particular kind of relationship to possessions that Allen is at least partially aware of but never really found the appeal himself. All he knows is that there is a very fine line between endearing and obnoxious in this area, but at least know he has a bit a better understanding Dean is the former.]

Ah. Well, it sounds like your car does mean a lot to you, so if it's a comfort I hope the powers that be were able to bring it--her with you here for the duration. Which I hope won't be a long one for you. I imagine, like the rest of us, you have somewhere you'd much rather be right now.

Yeah. I've seen a lot of weird stuff, but never heard of anyone getting trapped in a bizzaro retail dimension. I'm not expecting too much, though. I doubt whatever sick bastard brought us here is the kind of guy who'd be considerate enough to bring my car.

[Maybe it is a little weird, but that Impala's the closest thing Dean's ever had to a home.]
